How to Make Hanging Bats

Total Time: 5 minutes

Supplies:

• empty paper towel or toilet paper roll/s
• black construction paper
• googly eyes
• glue
• pipe cleaner
• 2 white thumb tacks with black dots drawn in the middle instead of googly eyes - optional
• scissors
• hole punch
• glue

Steps:

1. Cut a piece of black paper in half or to fit the width of the paper towel roll.

 
2. Glue the black paper on the roll.

 

 
3. Fold the other piece of black paper in half.

4. Cut out wings as shown, either straight or curl wings over the front.

 
5. Glue the wings to the back of the roll.

 
6. Punch two holes in the back of the roll.

 
7. Slip the pipe cleaner into the two holes from inside the paper roll.

 
8. Bend the pipe cleaner up into feet.

9. Glue the googly eyes or ink the thumbtacks with black eyes and stick the thumbtacks into the toilet paper rolls in front.

 
10. Hang your little guys on a string or curtain rod.
