I've added the coffin template for you to print out, cut out, and trace onto your black craft paper. You can resize it to make them smaller or larger. I used mini candy skulls from the dollar shop as decor on the coffin. You can find them in the Halloween section.
Total Time: 45 minutes
Supplies:
- coffin template print out
- craft paper (black, white, patterned)
- pencil
- scissors
- bonefolder
- thin double-sided tape (like Tear Tape)
- pen
- mini skulls
Steps:
- Cut out the coffin template and trace it onto the black craft paper with a pencil. Draw the fold lines just like they are on the template.
- Cut out the 2 coffin pieces.
- Using your bonefolder or something like a credit card, firmly fold the paper where denoted by hard lines.
- Flip over the coffin pieces after folding. Add double-sided tape on the portions to match this photo.
- Fold the pieces into each other and press to stick.
- This is what the base and lid will look like.
- Cut out a strip of patterned paper and place on the coffin lid. Cut to size, then stick on with tape.
- Cut out a thinner strip of white craft paper to place on the patterned piece. I like to fold the edge over to make a cutting guide.
- Write your message or name on the white paper, then tape onto the patterned paper.
- Tape a skull onto the top.
- Fill the coffin with treats.
