Cute for fall! We had some scraps of "plank" wood leftover from an old backyard playset. My husband cut the planks and screwed and glued the parts together to form a scarecrow with a hat.
Total Time: 1 1/2 hours
Yield: 1
Supplies:
- acrylic paint
- plank wood
- screws
- paint brush
- acrylic paint sharpie
- flowers
- twine
- hot glue gun
- trim
- small square of fabric
- trim

Steps:
- Start with painting the scarecrow's hat, using two coats of paint or more.
- Cut a piece of fabric for the patch and glue onto the hat. Make stitch marks around the patch with the acrylic sharpie pen. Glue trim at the bottom.
- Decorate the hat with flowers and twine for "hair" using a hot glue gun.

- For the face, I used an oval stencil to paint the eyes black and made a white accent on the eye. Using an acrylic sharpie pen, I outlined a smile and a nose.
