With this shark costume, you're essentially using any gray sweater your child owns and some felt - very inexpensive and perhaps even using items you may already own at home! Preferably use a sweater that your child is about to outgrow.
Total Time: 1 hour
Supplies:
- Tacky glue
- felt
- scissors
- gray sweater/jacket
Steps:
- Using a large piece of white felt, you can sketch over your sweater a large half oval for the "stomach" area of the shark and use tacky glue.
- The inside of the sweater was lined red, so all I needed to do with the remaining white felt was to cut zig zags strips to resemble the shark's teeth and tacky glue all around the hood.
- Now for the fin, fold the gray felt in half and cut a wave like shape and sew the opening, then stuff cotton balls, pillow stuffing, tissue paper) and sew down to the center of the back sweater.
