I'm having a Halloween party and I have the decorations set but I need a little help on ideas with the food. I have eyeball ice cubes and I'm putting little plastic spiders on toothpicks but what else can I do? Thanks!

My DIL had bat cupcakes-- dark icing, cut hershey for ears, candy corn for teeth and m&ms for eyes- a dot in the middle. cute
I made the cutest cake. Easy! Mix a cake mix pour in a bundt pan and bake. Place on platter and put orange icing on it. Take Little Debbie swiss cake rolls and put in middle for "stem".
Are you wanting gross scary food items? If so, use a 13 X 9 cake pan and fill it with granola cereal, then place unwrapped tootsie rolls scattered throughout the pan. This is called "kitty litter".
Someone I know is having one as well. I don't know what kind of party you are having but my acquaintance is having food as well as "junk" check out this site for some ideas
Good luck and have fun!

Make "finger bones" out of breadstick dough...
Back when I had a larger apartment and my own Halloween parties, one of the things I did was get a few mini pumpkins, hollow them out, and put dips & salsa in them. My guests thought it was a great idea and very festive! You could also hollow out a large pumpkin, line it with plastic wrap, and put chips or other foods in it. Have a great party!
1. rice krispie treats colored with red food coloring looks like raw hamberger meat.
2. dry ice for drinks
This is a great twist on candy or chocolate dipped apples. Instead of using a stick from an arts and crafts store use an actual stick! We picked some good strong sticks, make then the correct length and shave off the end. Clean the end if you want but the part of the apple it's stuck in does not get eaten. You can decorate around it with leaves..etc.

Cut out Halloween shapes from tortillas - spray with Pam and sprinkle garlic power or whatever you want. Bake at 375 til crisp.
Road kill puppy dip platter: One year at a work party, we had a scary foods contest and this one won! Rip the back and stuffing out of a stuffed toy. One laying down works best, and I used a dog. Place in the hole you ripped out, a bowl with a pinkish or green dip to serve with chips or crackers. Yeah, yuck. Now add some icing tinted red for blood and make sure the dip is chunky!
