I started with a sweatshirt that had plenty of space. I blew up a bunch of balloons, and used safety pins to pin them to the sweatshirt (through the part on the other side of the knot, obviously), in the shape of a bunch of grapes.
I cut leaves from green construction paper. My son's older brother and sister were red grapes and purple grapes that year! (I don't think they've ever forgiven me, but isn't it funny?! ha!).

There was a little roadside spot in PA where we would always stop to buy squares of something like this. They'd sell it warm, and it'd be so good. I'm not much of a yeast bread maker, but I'd sure like to try making this.

Hey if you're soaking those papers, why toss them when they are nice and mushy? They are then just right for squeezing the moisture out, lay the mush out on a tray, flatten and remake into paper! You then have unique paper for stationary to give as gifts. *smile* I've done this with newspaper, now.
I never thought about using my throw-away paper in this manner. Thanks for another source for gifts!
In a glass bowl, mix some Bar Keepers Friend (powder) with a little cool water. Apply the mixture directly to the "rust" stain on your garment. I used a toothbrush to spread it on the cloth. Wait 4 to 5 minutes and rinse those areas of the garment with cool water. I washed my blouse separately, as other posts cautioned that white clothes treated with this mixture should not be washed with other clothes.
I credit other posters for the above information. It worked the first time for me on set-in stains that had been washed and dried in a tumble dryer. Thanks to every one who suggested this product. It is available in Canada at Home Hardware stores.

I remember doing this when my 21 year old was four. I was really struggling financially back then and was so lucky that year to find small purple balloons and safety pins in the dollar store.

You can also use the balloons to make a 'bag of jelly beans' for Halloween, that's what I did for my daughter & son when they were little 20 years ago. If you can get your hands on those clear industrial-size trash bags (I get mine at Sam's, but you might know someone who has them). Poke holes in the bottom for legs, reinforce the holes with clear packing tape so they don't tear.
