What a cute idea. Do you have one for Christmas?
Thanks for sharing.

I just used this for a car club Halloween party. All of those on the planning committee saved their milk/juice jugs. We cut the tops off, saving the handle, used markers to make the sweet and spooky faces. After a layer of sand in the bottoms, we put a votive candle inside.

We lined the path to the door where the party was. Once it was dark and they were lit, it was awesome! A cheap but very effective decoration!

In my photo, you can see the line-up of the luminaries - which also led out to the bonfire.

Very cute & inexpensive. I added a battery-operated string of white lights to mine. Just cut out a big enough square in the bottom back side to fit it in. Great for inside or on the front porch or steps. Just remember to shut off! Batteries won't last long.
